The Facebook Reality Labs (FRL) group brings together world-class experts to develop and ship groundbreaking products at the intersection of hardware, software and content. We are building tools and experiences that make people feel closer together in Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). We're looking for a thought leader and career Performance Marketing powerhouse to join our world-class in-house Media Team. The Facebook Reality Labs Global Media team (part of Facebook Reality Labs’ Global Marketing Communications Organization) is in the process of scaling significantly as we continue to expand our marketing efforts across our product portfolio, and engage more meaningfully with both our internal and external partners. This role will be part of the Media Leadership Team, and report directly into the Director of Global Media for Facebook Reality Labs.This role will be responsible for leading Display, Affiliate, Social, SEM and SEO strategies across the Facebook Reality Labs Portfolio (including Portal and Oculus as well as other hardware AR, VR and XR products on the horizon), partnering with cross functional leaders and managing the external agency relationship. Our ideal candidate will bring thought leadership, best and next practices and recommendations for how and when to leverage all performance media platforms in ways that drive desired business results across the funnel for the company. This person will also lead expansion of the Performance Marketing Team at Facebook Reality Labs.

Responsibilities
  • Define the Performance Media metrics for success
  • Steward your direct team's development and career growth
  • Partner with the Media leadership team on strategic portfolio/team wide initiatives that will up-level and deliver best-in-class outputs across the organization
  • Identify next practices based on marketplace and business evolution (iOS 14, end of cookies, etc.)
  • Serve as a credible expert internally to represent the Media Team in all Performance related channels
  • Provide ongoing Performance Media expertise to the Facebook Reality Labs Media Team and other cross functional partners across the organization as needed
  • Partner with Media Agency to lead thinking and push recommendations to encompass advanced learnings while achieving business objectives
  • Conduct ongoing landscape assessments to identify technologies/partners to test
  • Partner with appropriate stakeholders (agencies, Decision Science, Insights, Marketing counterparts, etc.) to influence testing of new capabilities (e.g. Personalized Consumer Experience)
  • Discover synergies between Performance channels and other touchpoints (T/V, OOH, Audio) for greater impact
  • Determine effective reach & frequency levels, unit sizes/lengths, environment, viewability levels and device strategies
  • Represent Facebook Reality Labs as part of appropriate Industry organizations to gain learning in this area
  • Author and publish starter guides, reference decks, and best practices toolkits
Minimum Qualification
  • 15+ years of experience in Performance Marketing strategy and execution on a global scale
  • 10+ years of people management experience including building and scaling teams globally
  • Experience with programmatic display, affiliate search, social and shopper marketing
  • Experience with optimization strategies and campaign delivery
  • Experience with industry trends and innovation in media, tracking, analytics and research (Brand Sentiment through Conversion and Advocacy/Brand Love)
  • Understanding of the role of Performance Marketing in the full funnel consumer journey
  • Experience with Facebook’s advertising platforms and in crafting media solutions that drive positive outcomes
  • Experience connecting consumer and cultural media trends with business outcomes
  • Experience managing a matrixed network of agency partners
  • Experience identifying and building technological solutions
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders within other disciplines - especially Data Science and Analytics functions
  • Experience working on consumer, technology and retail brands
  • Experience driving outcomes independently and collaboratively, while operating in a complex organization
  • Experience in Paid media across all channels
  • Operationally minded with a quality service orientation
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, and at times ambiguous environments
