Together, we can help people build stronger communities - we're just getting started.
Facebook ARVR focuses on delivering Facebook's vision through Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR). The compute performance and power efficiency requirements of Virtual and Augmented Reality require custom silicon. The Facebook Silicon team is driving the state of the art forward with breakthrough work in computer vision, machine learning, mixed reality, graphics, displays, sensors, and new ways to map the human body. Our chips will enable AR & VR devices where our real and virtual world will mix and match throughout the day. We believe the only way to achieve our goals is to look at the entire stack, from transistors, through architecture to firmware, and algorithms. As an AR Performance Architecture Manager, part of the Facebook Reality Labs AR SoC team, the candidate will lead the performance modeling and verification teams. The ideal candidate for this role will have an excellent grasp on SoC micro-architecture, experience in optimizing PPA for thermally constrained devices, familiarity with power and performance measurement tools and analyzers, experience working with emulation/FPGA and software modeling platforms, test benches, end to end use-case performance verification and instrumentation to quantify performance and power. Successful candidates are motivated self-starters who are comfortable operating in a cross-functional environment, and have a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
