At Facebook AR/VR Hardware, we’re developing the future of Portal, virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) products. As OLED Tech Engineer, you will be a key member of our Display and Optics organization, taking a lead to develop cutting edge OLED device performance, top level of reliability performance and proper mass product process technology. This tech capabilities are essential assets to provide differentiating aspect to our HW platforms for better product development. You will be the part of a tight-knit group of engineers at the forefront of the innovation for AR/VR and portal product development.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering activities on advanced OLED devices performance and process technologies for new display applications.
- Work closely with OLED material, evaporation equipment, PECVD external partner to apply the up-to date technology.
- Work closely with cross functional teams and external display partners to develop the future display technologies and bring up devices for new requirements.
- Analyze root cause for failure modes with optical and device’s approach and provide corrective actions.
- Design of Experiments (DOE) to internal teams and external partners.
- Ability for 30% traveling in Asia.
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in EE, Physic, Chemistry, Mechanics, Material science, Optics with 7+ years experience in the field of OLED device optimization, encapsulation tech, OLED evaporation process for mass production.
- Knowledge of OLED technology especially for OLED device performance and behavior by process condition.
- Hands-on experience and proven track record in flat panel industry, OLED device technology development, and associated process & equipment design or control.
- Experience performing process DOE and failure analysis for devices and Process optimization.
- Experience characterizing the optical performance for OLED device.
Preferred Qualification
- Experience of delivering MP OLED performance from R&D development. Collaboration with material vendor & OLED device R&D equipment operation. Experienced FMEA lead for the OLED device project from R&D to MP.
- Knowledge in ALD or PECVD process and equipment. Understanding of basic OLED display requirements and characterizing thin film properties. Display industry related work experience on ALD/PECVD equipment.
- Knowledge in direct patterning tech and Evaporation equipment system. Operation, evaporation profile control by equipment chamber and source design. Understanding of basic OLED performance related to the evaporation condition. Big data analysis to identify the process condition impact in Mass production process.
