Who You Are
We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead/Senior Software Engineer in Android as a key hire to our team. You will own the Android platform-specific code base, from the Gradle build system to UI elements. You will also help optimize and integrate advanced algorithms implemented in native code (C++). You will be a key stakeholder in the architecture and packaging of our public SDKs and applications. You will also ensure our software works flawlessly on multiple hardware platforms, from mobile phones to development boards and real cars.
Qualifications
Bachelors in Computer Science or other related field
5+ years of Android development experience
Good proficiency with Kotlin, Java, Gradle and modern C++ (C++14 and above preferred)
Deep knowledge of the Android SDK, NDK, and latest best practices
Familiarity with Android IPC mechanisms
Experience with Android frontend development
Proficient in one of the following topics
AOSP custom builds
3D rendering (OpenGL, GLSL…)
3D game or AR/VR application development
Performance and latency optimization
Bonus Points
Experiences working with Android Automotive
