In the near future, REACT Neuro will diagnose serious brain health conditions years before symptoms appear. REACT is a team of neuroscientists, engineers and entrepreneurs who have come together with the vision of redefining brain health and concussion management.

In the short-term, REACT looks to quantify brain health with applications in sports, military, concussion clinics, senior living and pharma. In the near future, REACT will look to be the industry leader in making brain health proactive, instead of reactive. REACT’s Co-Founders include Dr. Rudy Tanzi, Dr. Brian Nahed and Dr. Shaun Patel. Rudy is the Vice-Chair of Neurology and Director of the Genetics and Aging Research Unit at MGH, as well as the brain health consultant for the New England Patriots. Brian is a neurosurgeon at MGH and one of the independent neurotrauma consultants for the NFL.  Shaun is a neuroscientist and faculty member at Harvard Medical School.

REACT is focused on using immersive virtual reality digital exams and experiences to quantify cognitive changes in under five minutes to better inform brain health and return-to-work. Currently, REACT is in validation and data collection with two top concussion clinics in the Boston area, sports teams and multiple senior living communities. In addition to the qualifications below, REACT is looking for a candidate who possess grit, respect, team ego, humility, positivity, inclusivity, accountability, flexibility and is passionate about in an innovative environment.

• Create simple VR experiences which are informed by research from REACT’s medical advisors and data science team
• Define goals, create and iterate in collaboration with REACT’s teams to deploy product milestones on-time
• Translate user needs into product specifications with demonstrated ability to analyze current and proposed product functionality and propose usability enhancements
• Ensure the reliability of mission critical systems vital to REACT, by designing, coding, testing and debugging software
• Leverage a suite of open source and proprietary tools to build the environment that tests and deploys our algorithms
• Provide technical support to the Business Operations team in the implementation of system projects
• Prototype and develop experimental therapeutic games for various market segments
• Code new features and enhancements using Unity, Java, JavaScript and Python
• Effectively communicate business priorities with remote teams

Required Experience & Knowledge:

• Experience working in the Unity3D engine, with a focus on virtual reality game development; user interface preferred
• Experience writing or modifying shaders
• Must have a basic understanding of 3D mathematics
• Programing experience; C# is preferred
• Excellent problem solving, creativity and critical thinking abilities
• Must be pro-active and able to operate effectively both independently and within a team
