The Mixed Reality Systems’ Engineering team has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Software Engineer, who can help design, and implement key parts of the next generation of platform Software.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver key APIs, drivers, tools, and OS components across various product lines—from VR to MR devices.
  • Assist with 3rd party software integration and tooling necessary for device manufacturing.
  • Work in close partnership with a team of cross-discipline peers including design, hardware, PM and Product Integrity Engineering for sustained long term success, and customer delight.
  • Maintain a focus on enabling customer, developer and IHV scenarios.

Qualifications
  • A BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of relevant software design and development experience.
  • Outstanding technicalproblem-solvingskills.
  • Excellent design, coding, and debugging skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

There are plenty of other skills that aren’t required, but you’ll find useful in this role.
  • Working withsensors, embedded systems, cameras.
  • Understanding of the USB protocol or USB drivers.
  • Writing performance-critical code in C/C++.
  • Device driver development on Windows, Android or Linux.
  • Image processing or GPU Programming
