Facebook Reality Labs is exploring the potential of virtual and augmented reality to bring people together in new ways. We are designing technologies that help people to create, share meaningful moments, and build communities using the unique qualities of these immersive new mediums. We aim to develop experiences that put people first, defining a future where virtual reality enables us to connect with the people and content we care about like never before. We’re seeking Virtual Reality Events Producer to develop and oversee interactive virtual events and performances in Facebook Horizon. The Producer will be responsible for development and execution of events/performances from ideation, contract and execution. Candidate will be expected to work across product, engineering and design teams as well as external talent to ideate strategic platform features with the product team, liaise with legal and business development for deal making, creative development and the overall successful execution of events/performances. The ideal candidate is an experienced producer and has a background in interactive virtual reality production.
Responsibilities
- Drive deadlines and deliverables for each component of the event ensuring timelines are met
- Working seamlessly across internal product teams and external talent/developers to ensure events have the support to be successful
- Main point of contact for talent and developers
- Communicate clearly and effectively across cross functional teams
- Analyze metrics and feedback to consistently improve the event and performance experience
- Along with event program manager, use network to find opportunities for events and performances both internally and externally
Minimum Qualification
- 5+ years of experience working in production (events, films or games)
- 2+ years of experience working with virtual reality
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineers and designers
- Understanding of interactive VR development
- Project management experience
- Flexibility in an ever changing landscape
