3D Generalist

Krikey, an AR gaming app, is seeking a 3D Generalist to join our growing team! Key responsibilities include: building custom models, adapting models for performance optimization needs, and collaborating with developers.
Qualifications:
3D Production Generalist with at least 2+ years of experience, or at least 2 years of experience working on all aspects of the content pipeline from sculpting, modeling and retopology, and texturing.
Proficiency with character rigging (able to rig a character fully from scratch or by using scripts)
knowledge of Python and MEL for efficient rigging a bonus
Experience writing rigging and other 3D workflow tools is a bonus
Excellent proficiency with Maya, Zbrush, Photoshop, and Substance Painter/other equivalent software
Excellent proficiency with game art optimization (mesh topology, texture map baking)
Excellent Proficiency with building character models with good topology for rigging and animation, and a willingness to also offer support with environment objects
Strong problem-solving and testing skills, with an eye for detail
Experience with integrating 3D assets into Unity or other similar game engines
Proficiency with code versioning tools such as GitHub.
Eager and willing to quickly learn new skills, processes and tools
Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members
Contribute to a creative team environment, be comfortable with giving and receiving feedback
A responsible, passionate, and dedicated person who can work well alone as well as with team members.
Pluses:
Strong demo reel demonstrating talents
Passion for Augmented Reality or Virtual Reality
Familiarity with game engine requirements and rig parameters

Krikey is an Augmented Reality gaming app that is live on iOS and Android. Krikey just closed their Series A round, led by India’s largest telecom operator, Reliance Jio. Krikey has partnered with Google Maps, The Ellen DeGeneres Wildlife Foundation, Sony Pictures Entertainment and the National Audubon Society, building custom AR games for each brand partner. In 2020, Krikey launched their first action-adventure game, Yaatra.
Krikey was founded by sisters (Jhanvi and Ketaki) in 2017. They have previously worked at YouTube, Facebook's Oculus and Google X. Jhanvi holds a BA, MBA from Stanford and an MFA from USC, and Ketaki holds a BA, MA, and PhD from Stanford (in virtual reality and game development). Ketaki was named to the Forbes 30 under 30 list for gaming in 2020. Krikey was named to the Fast Company list of Best Apps and Games of 2020.
