Job Description
Niantic Labs, creator of Ingress and Pokémon GO, is seeking an experienced UX Designer to help build a cutting-edge AR experience that engages and delights users. You will be responsible for designing interaction flows, conducting research and building innovative solutions. In this role, you will work with an accomplished and creative team to create a unique interactive experience that blends the real world with the virtual, encouraging players to experience adventures in a new way.
Responsibilities
- Create user interaction design systems and UX flow wireframes for an exciting new initiative.
- Brainstorm ideas and create prototypes to help find creative solutions to UX and AR experience challenges while adhering to partner guidelines.
- Conduct user research and usability studies to help refine and fine-tune the experience towards product goals.
- Collaborate with game design, art, engineering and QA to build fun and exciting real-world AR experiences.
Qualifications
- 3+ years mobile user experience design within the interactive or gaming industry.
- Portfolio of work showcasing samples of interaction design for mobile applications.
- Ability to create interaction flow wireframes based on high-level product spec.
- Strong visual design and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build functional prototypes to test experience design concepts.
- Experience working with InVision or similar UX visual prototyping tools to establish workflow and build consensus.
- A plus if you have a background in AR/VR or location-based experiences.
