VP Engineering – VR Tech
Location: San Francisco Bay area or Remote
Citizen or Green Card Holder only
Our client is in the education/learning space with some very high-profile investors. They are using VR technology to increase the ability for students to learn faster and stay more focused. Their product line is focused K-12, College, and other professional level of learning.
The ideal candidate will have a background in VR gaming or VR education tools. You have a passion for creating high quality products that keep the user involved and have content/story line.
Skills/Experience required:
- Unity (*primary) and Unreal – you are fluent with the two major game engines used for VR
- C#, Python and C++ - you are current and proficient with these
- Fluent with the virtual reality full stack in VR (or secondarily in the AR space)
- Shipped excellent quality(s) VR title either as a part of a larger team or as an independent VR developer.
- Will be willing to roll up your sleeves, be an individual contributor and code, as needed
- Experience managing a VR software team of 3 or more
- Able to attract and retain technical talent needed to ship VR titles.
- Willing to collaborate with hardware teams; you have worked with custom HW in the past
- Has a GSD (get stuff done) mindset and get stuff done correctly, on time.
Responsibilities:
- Leading the software development of our client’s educational VR content
- Create scalable software architecture that support the client’s build long term suite of educational content
