Qualifications
- Current experience providing support to augmented and virtual reality teams
- Experience with hands on technical research, evaluation, and recommendations for products and capabilities in the XR field
- Understanding and proven success in navigating of the customer security process; Experience drafting System Security Plans (SSPs) to support AR/VR efforts
- Hands-on experience with XR technology such as Microsoft Hololens 2, Vuzix Blade, and Oculus devices
- AR and VR technical experience and understanding of technical application to the customers needs
- Network security and end point security technical knowledge
- End-to-End mission coordination and integration in the technical and operational domain
- Experience providing unique and creative technical solutions to high priority missions with technically complex environments
- Experience customizing commercial software and hardware to support mission critical needs
- A Bachelor/Masters degree (or equivalent years of experience) Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Requires 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or 5 to 7 years with PhD.
Responsibilities
Using a holistic approach, designs, develops, evaluates and modifies end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle. Generates quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics. Ensures requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods. Translates high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower level detailed implementation requirements. Establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall product development. Designs interfaces and brings system elements together so they work as a whole. Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. Customer liaison and support for business development activities and to understand and shape requirements. Participates in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts. Translates high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and works with multi-discipline engineering teams to develop lower level detailed requirements. Participates in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation. Generates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures. Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements.
Provide support to the Sponsors Directorate-level learning institution, where skills-specific tradecraft training divisions combine with new programs to leverage private sector opportunities, support the Directorates corporate career development, and raise digital acumen throughout the Sponsor organization. The Sponsor is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to perform in the role of a Technical Lead Project Manager working in a dynamic environment with expertise and XR technical skills.

The Project Manager will serve as the XR Technical Specialist in the Sponsors XLab. The lab is an extended reality (XR) immersive experience that provides learning opportunities in the SR realm. As the Technical Lead, you will assist various XR teams and leverage your technical expertise to research, test, evaluate, modify, and recommend XR products to support mission critical needs.
- Identify, analyze, define, and coordinate user, customer, and stakeholder needs and translates them into requirements for research, development, production and/or procurement of processes, systems and/or services
- Identify, design and/or develop unique devices and/or solutions to support mission requirements
- Test and troubleshooting complex technical and non-technical problems/devices, implementing appropriate technical modifications as necessary
- Develop XR system (technical) requirements and security documentation/process and protocols
- Assists in the creation of participates/conducts training on XR equipment
