Delta Sigma Company (DSC) is a 30+-year-old Engineer-To-Order (ETO) company that specializes in RCS and Antenna Measurements (in addition to Robotics and Augmented/Mixed Reality). Our RCS and Antenna history dates back to the F-117A, B-2, and ACM and extends through today with the F-22, F-35, various missiles, and other high value vehicles. DSC is looking to expand our footprint outside defense related systems and enter the commercial market. We are looking for a senior level RCS/Antenna Measurement Systems sales engineer to help us with this expansion. DSC has systems currently operating in 15 countries on 5 continents and desires to expand our antenna measurement customer base internationally.
The RCS/Antenna Measurement Systems Sales Engineer will work to maximize sales through the development of new business and the servicing of a wide variety of customers in defense, aerospace, homeland security, satellite, telecommunications, and automotive sectors. DSC is very customer focused and seeks tailor solutions for each customer – not force customers into a limited set of catalog offerings. This makes proposals a bit more challenging to write, but DSC enjoys excellent relationships with our customers as a result. This position reports directly to the CEO. With the right person in this job, there is substantial growth potential.
Responsibilities
- Identify and communicate with potential customers
- Identify and qualify opportunities
- Promote DSC products and capabilities to potential customers
- Principal writer of technical and financial proposals of RCS and antenna measurement systems, RCS and antenna measurement services, derived products and services
- Account management activities including occasional on-site customer visits and activities, maintaining and updating information on CRM (Salesforce), quotes, proposals, technical writing, pre-sales support, attendance of bidder’s conferences and trade shows
- Understanding customer needs and identifying how our existing products can meet customer’s expectations or work with DSC engineers to develop new products required to meet customer expectations
- Developing and managing regular sales forecasts.
- Providing input and feedback to product marketing, services, and new development for customer application requirements
- Follow through on all quotes and proposals to final disposition
- Maintain relationships with customers to capture future potential business opportunities
- Get feedback on past DSC performance and supply to the engineering and project groups
- Monitor ongoing quality of support of customer base to maximize future opportunities
Required Skills
- 10+ years business-to-business (B2B) sales experience of RCS and/or Antenna Measurement Systems is preferred.
- Capability to sell effectively at multiple levels of a customer’s organization
- Strategic thinker that can lead proposal and opportunity capture efforts
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer interface skills, with proficiency in MS Office
- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree preferred (a combination of education and experience will be considered)
- Experience driving the sales process across internal and external teams (channel, engineering, marketing, field)
- Ability to establish positive and lasting customer relationships with diverse personalities.
- Ability to work independently with limited direction in a fast-paced environment;must be a high-energy, motivated self-starter
- Ability to adapt to changes in roles and responsibilities
- Team player that will provide help wherever it is needed to get the job done
- RF technology experience or background – actual test range experience highly preferred
- Experience selling to US Department of Defense and major prime contractors
- Strong understanding of RF measurements, technical background & experience with Antenna, RCS, or EMC measurements
- Experience with CRM software (Salesforce preferred)
- Occasional domestic and international travel, not to exceed 50%

- Must be able to lift 30 pounds at times
Compensation is based on a combination of salary and commissions
