Minimum Qualifications
3+ years’ experience modeling/texturing characters in Zbrush, Maya, Modo, or 3DS Max, for feature, commercial, VR experiences and/or video games on a shipped MMO, mobile, PC, or console game. Solid understanding of character modeling in Zbrush and UV/ material application in Maya. Solid understanding of anatomy for realistic humanoid characters and creatures. Strong understanding of mechanical design and assemblies. Solid grasp of edge loops and deformation standards. Experience creating props and weapons. Experience with Substance Painter or Quixel to create photo realistic PBR materials. Strong ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple disciplines. Ability to create art content that is performant for runtime and appropriate. for modern game hardware, mobile a plus, Understanding of VR and AR mobile limitations and requirements. Demo materials required & should include sample character production files (model, Photoshop comp, textures, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
BFA or equivalent on the job experience. Experience posing, rendering, and lighting photorealistic marketing materials from 3D character models. Knowledge of Substance or Mari to create photo realistic textures and materials. Experience working in feature, commercial, or video games as a character artist. Experience editing scanned data and creating morph targets. Experience editing fur and hair for real-time game engines. Passionate character artist with contemporary workflows and processes. Understanding of VR and AR mobile limitations and requirements. Ability to create art content for modern game engines that is performant on mobile hardware. Experience with materials and character setup within Unreal or Unity game engine.

Education Requirements
