As part of Facebook’s Enterprise Operations Organization, the Enterprise Collaboration Technologies team is responsible for the productivity of Facebook’s employees. We deliver world class video conferencing, production, media engineering and SaaS tooling in support of innovation.
As a valued member of the Enterprise organization, this person will lead a team of technical and non-technical program managers with a focus on all aspects of productivity and collaboration. This includes collaboration & productivity tooling, dogfooding internal beta products, Portal & Oculus in the Enterprise, productivity surveys and recommendations, and augmented/virtual/mixed reality in the workplace. This team consists of Program Specialists who design, implement and continuously evolve the existing operational practices of Facebook's collaboration ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated scaled organizational leadership capabilities, a passion for driving program impact through operational excellence and rigor, and proven success influencing decisions and stakeholders within a highly matrixed and fluid environment. They will demonstrate a breadth of knowledge in collaboration as well as passion for data, research and understanding the Why.
Responsibilities
- Shape program direction & strategy while also managing the growth and success of a talented team of Program Managers.
- Enable the usage of first party hardware (Oculus & Portal) to increase employee productivity and to inform future product decisions.
- Set clear goals, manage project loads and allocate program managers accordingly. Ensure deadlines are met and set team members up for overall success.
- Strategically assess new big bets, including vision & strategic planning for the Facebook Collaboration Technologies product & services roadmap. Navigate highly ambiguous or emergent problems.
- Guide the team to develop best practices for ensuring a high bar of quality. Establish a strong, collaborative program practice with a healthy feedback culture.
- Over time, recruit new members to the team and actively participate in the hiring process.
- Translate strategic goals of the organization into program opportunities. Communicate with data to drive change.
- Leverage qualitative and quantitative research in support of strategic initiatives.
- Manage program service delivery across project management, coordination, content management and research. Provide functional reporting through executive level.
- Develop a source of truth in the internal wiki and relevant workplace groups, in an effort to increase engagement with internal community.
Minimum Qualification
- 5+ years of experience leading teams in support of a global enterprise organization.
- Experience building a full-time employee team through continual coaching and career growth opportunities.
- Experience working cross functionally with a globally dispersed team.
- Demonstrated success translating organization visions into action plans.
- Background establishing systems, supporting teams, and developing relationships as producer, project manager, program manager or similar role.
Preferred Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related field.
- Background in collaboration/productivity/media (video conferencing, SaaS applications, broadcast, virtual reality, XR).
- Experience in a fast-paced environment that requires independent time management, task prioritization, and experience identifying complex problems and working towards solutions in varying degrees of ambiguity.
- Experience thinking outside the box when considering scalability, building new programs, and working collaboratively with cross functional partners.
