Snap’s Augmented Reality team invents the immersive (and fun!) camera experiences that are at the core of our products. From developing creative new Lens features for Snapchat, to supporting the continuous growth and evolution of Lens Studio (our platform for an ever-increasing community of AR creators), to designing the cutting-edge computer vision and machine learning technology that makes face transformation Lenses possible — our Augmented Reality team is working hard on their mission to bring AR to more people, places, and moments, every day.

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our Augmented Reality team!

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop C++/native tooling features
• Work closely with teams contributing to C++/native parts of our software stack
• Build infrastructure that powers Snap’s AR platform
• Own and drive high-level features from planning through implementation
• Participate in feature planning and creating technical specifications
• Collaborate with mobile and desktop software engineers focused on native code to develop groundbreaking technologies

• Strong computer science fundamentals
• Great communication skills
• Ability to collaborate and work well with a team
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, JavaScript)
• Understanding of Linux/Unix environment and command line tools
  

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in a technical field or equivalent years of experience
• 1+ years of industry C++ development experience
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with modern C++
• Experience with build tools (bazel, CMake, Ninja, etc)
• Experience creating developer-facing APIs and libraries
