We are seeking an accomplished yet “scrappy” Technology Business Development Leader focused on unleashing the power of AWS’s best-in-class cloud computing capabilities to engage and support our valued health system customers in moving comprehensive electronic health records (EHR) systems to the AWS cloud as an important foundation of their transformation journeys. As health systems wrestle with capturing the value of data to provide excellent patient/member/consumer care, enhance provider satisfaction, and lower costs and improving operational performance, AWS has the opportunity to enable health systems to unleash the power of the data in their existing systems by leveraging the capabilities of AWS cloud.

You understand business and technical trends impacting the healthcare industry, have demonstrated success in driving market development across the health system provider sector, and are passionate and capable of helping to problem-solve customers’ technical, operational, clinical, and strategic needs in alignment with cloud-based services and solutions. You will be a senior leader for our business development activity to migrate EHR workloads and data to AWS cloud infrastructure. You will also work closely with sales, technical, development, and clinical teams to drive AWS’s capability to develop and provide robust cloud solutions for existing and future EHR workloads of our health system customers, including disaster recovery, production, business continuity, and ancillary systems (e.g., PACS, VNA, DMS, etc.). You will lead by influence – working in parallel with front line sales teams to drive adoption by customers of current capabilities while also creating the case and technical understanding for future build capabilities and a roadmap towards increasingly robust and comprehensive cloud solutions for EHR.

You will have extensive experience and trusted relationships in the health system customer sector, enabling him/her to serve as a valued thought partner for health system customers to leverage AWS capabilities in meeting clinical, financial, and operating opportunities and needs. You will have extensive experience delivering technical solutions across the health system ecosystem. As an AWS EHR expert, responsibilities will include partnering with key internal stakeholders (e.g., sales, professional services, solution architects) to drive adoption and usage of AI/ML offerings, drive the necessary business and technical relationships with customers and partners to establish new opportunities, and enable the strategic sales and client teams to drive day-to-day interactions with prospects in order to build long-term business opportunity. You will also work closely with internal product, solutions, and services teams to help them evolve and develop capabilities and offerings to support our NP Healthcare customers and to incorporate feedback from those customers into the product roadmap.
You will have both a technical and business background and demonstrated success building sustaining relationships of trust at the CxO level of health systems. You should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, to build and convey compelling value propositions, and to work cross-organizationally to build consensus. You possess a keen sense of ownership, drive, and scrappiness. You enjoy communicating with customers of all shapes and sizes and bring a passion for helping healthcare providers.

Responsibilities
  • Create and execute strategic business development plans for EHR on AWS opportunities and ensure these plans are in line with the NP Healthcare strategic direction, working closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, partner teams, solution architects, professional services, services development, and support teams;
  • Serve as key leader to capture and translate the needs of NP Healthcare customers (i.e., U.S. hospitals and health systems) to influence services, technical, and development teams to develop and evolve capabilities to more fully support our customers’ migration path to AWS cloud;
  • Synthesize, present, and leverage AWS suite of services – including compelling use cases -- to NP healthcare customers and articulate and tie vision for what AWS is building for future with NP healthcare customer needs and strategies;
  • Prepare and present business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks to closing new enterprise customers;
  • Handle a high volume of engagements and the fast pace of healthcare;
  • Other responsibilities as the needs of NP Healthcare business change and grow.

Basic Qualifications
  • 15+ years of recent experience in the nation’s leading EHR provider, leading business development, technical sales, architecture and hosting, and platform and emerging technologies;
  • 10+ years of business consulting, strategic partnerships, or program/product management experience with/within U.S. health systems and hospitals
  • Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate degree in business, technology, engineering, marketing, or related fields;
  • Strong analytical skills, and demonstrated ability to turn detailed data analysis into useful strategic insight in order to drive customer adoption and make appropriate recommendations to the healthcare providers;
  • Strong experience using Cloud Computing Technologies and related emerging technology.
  • Able to work in a diverse team
  • A talent for being able to influence and build mindshare convincingly with any audience, especially C-suite ;
  • Strong interest and ability to learn technical and business aspects of AWS cloud;
  • Flexibility and appetite for working in a fast-paced, high intensity, entrepreneurial environment;
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are required, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations and virtual teams across geographies;
