Are you passionate about innovative technology, including 3D LiDAR? MicroVision has an exciting opportunity for a Manager of Automotive Functional Safety. You will be part of and work closely with a cross functional team of engineers building best in class LIDAR.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead functional safety activities to ensure designs are ISO 26262 compliant and meet target ASIL level
Perform Hazard Risk Assessments and Safety Analysis per ISO 26262
Drive development and implementation of functional safety strategies, processes, and tools as required to comply with ISO 26262 standard
Work with cross functional team to create system-level requirements and safety strategy
Own and drive completion of verification and validation testing to ensure designs meet functional safety standards
Work with customers, partners, and external consultants regarding functional safety
Maintain function safety documentation and perform reviews with cross-functional team
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Expert working knowledge regarding pertinent functional safety standards, ISO 26262
Experience developing and executing functional safety validation test plans
Ability to write detailed safety requirements, especially hardware and software requirements
Familiarity with Automotive SPICE
Familiarity with precision Opto-Mechanical systems and electrical system architectures microcontroller-based hardware designs along with associated real time Firmware and Software
Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills with the ability to work successfully across a broad range engineering disciplines
Self-starter, resourceful, and a focus on delivering results
Summary of Education, Experience & Certification:
B.S in Engineering or related field
Minimum 5+ years of experience working with ISO 26262 standard
