As a Director of PTC Cloud Infrastructure, you bring deep public and private cloud infrastructure design, implementation and operations expertise. You work on new and existing Cloud solutions from the start of implementation, through Go-Live and ongoing operations. You are be the face of the PTC Cloud Infrastructure team to customers and manage infrastructure aspects of their Cloud experience. You work with the customer success ecosystem to help deliver exceptional customer value and experiences.

Day To Day

• Overall definition and communication of PTC Cloud’s vision to realize PTC Cloud’s Infrastructure people and technology needs for the future
• Cloud footprint roadmap management (public cloud and private co-location data centers)
• Selection, hiring, motivation, development and management of a high-performing global staff
• Relentless realization automation of infrastructure activities
• Infrastructure operations management to ensure deliver of customer SLAs
• Management of Virtual Infrastructure, Networking, Server, Storage, Database, Middleware, Backup and Disaster Recovery components and projects for our customer environments
• Infrastructure cost and vendor relationship management
• Evolution of IT infrastructure standards and procedures based on an ITIL framework
• Interface with the Security and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to the compliance standards (e.g. ISO 27001:2013, FedRAMP, SOC 2)
• Collaborate with other Cloud Services teams to establish requirements and align on priorities for all infrastructure projects and operations
• Communicate project plans and status with Cloud Services senior leadership
• Isolation, remediation and permanent resolution of infrastructure solution faults
  

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or electrical engineering.
• 10+ years of IT experience in large, enterprise, multi-location data centers and public clouds.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree is a plus
• 5+ years of experience AWS and/or Azure
• Strong ITIL process and process-improvement orientation
• Experience in working in regulated environments (FedRAMP etc.) a plus
• Demonstrated skills in Dell/VMWare, HP, EMC, Cisco, and virtualization technologies.
• Proven ability in data center management
• Strong understanding of hardware and software required to run enterprise applications specific environments
• Exceptional project management, problem-solving and presentation skills
• High-energy team player with a positive attitude
• Cool disposition under pressure
• Strong oral and written communication skills with a proven ability to interface and influence all levels of management
• Available for travel to domestic and international data centers
