We are looking for an exceptional Test Engineer to participate in the design, development and documentation of automated test systems including electrical, software and minor mechanical designs for use in our high-volume Andover MA production site as well as being a frontline technical support to the manufacturing engineers and test technicians in troubleshooting product and test system related issues. The Test Engineer will participate in developing automated test applications with user friendly GUI and test report generation using NI LabVIEW, documenting automated test systems along with schematics, cable assemblies and interconnect diagrams utilizing OrCAD or Visio and analyzing test data using statistical process controls and analysis tools such as Minitab. The Test Engineer will work under the technical direction of Senior & Principal Test Engineers. 

 

What you will do is:


·       Learn the technical electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, flow and software characteristics of automated test systems used in the high-volume Andover, MA production site by training under Senior and Principal level Test Engineers

·       Once trained, provide technical assistance to the manufacturing engineers and test stand operators in order to evaluate root cause test system and/or product anomalies

·       Participate in the design, development and documentation of test systems (hardware, software) and fixtures for in-house use and/or at suppliers

·       Perform the verification and validation of duplicate automated test systems prior to releasing them to production for use

·       Utilize the automated test system software platform, LabVIEW, to troubleshoot and diagnose Unit Under Test (UUT) issues or test system anomalies

 

What will you bring to the team, along with your knowledge in electrical engineering along with your enthusiasm to learn:


·       Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree is required (Master of Science in Electrical Engineering preferred) with 3-5 years’ experience in working with automated test systems, ideally in a high-volume environment is preferred

·       Experience with NI LabVIEW or a similar graphical based application is desirable but not required

·       Experience with schematic capture applications such as OrCAD and Visio are desirable but not required

·       Hands-on experience with laboratory test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, waveform generators, DAQ devices, etc.) is preferred

·       Familiarity with vacuum systems, pressure, flow measurement and control systems are desirable but not required

·       Ability to support multiple efforts simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment is required
