Software Development Engineer, Senior-Mobile Apps

The Vuforia R&D organization offers and builds the world’s leading industrial Augmented Reality solutions. You will be part of a highly focused team responsible for Vuforia Chalk, our Remote Assistance Solution – hailed as “The Future Of Education, Service And Support” (Forbes) and “an incredible example of how [Augmented Reality] can help your everyday life” (Business Insider). The team is very collaborative and practices iterative, continuous software development following the DevOps philosophy and agile processes.

Your Impact

Your excellent implementation skills will be essential for building mobile applications, enriching products with features, and making them robust. Your fellow team members will rely on your skills to quickly build stunning and robust interactive Augmented Reality applications.

Day-To-Day

You will prototype, design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain applications for mobile platforms that form the core of new AR capabilities and that integrate with Vuforia’s existing solutions. You will coordinate closely with teammates, assist product owners with product definition and story breakdown, and be an active, shaping participant in our agile workflow, in brainstorming and design sessions, and in code reviews and implementation workstreams.

Most Critical Skills and Experience:

• Experience with C++ or Java with excellent programming and code understanding skills
• Experience with mobile app development with at least one the following: iOS/Objective C, Android/Java & JNI, React Native
• Proactive communication; ability to work independently as well as in a team
  

Preferred Skills And Experience

• Experience with working in teams, agile development workflows, git, JIRA, code review workflows, CI/CD
• Experience with one or more of the following: build systems, CMake, conan; JavaScript, Node.JS, web application frameworks, WebAssembly
  

Basic Qualifications:

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related area
