AltspaceVR (https://Altvr.com) is the premier social and live events app, which brings together people from around the world in virtual reality and 3D. People use AltspaceVR to host and attend live comedy shows, tech talks, LGBTQ meetups, meditation classes, dance parties, conferences and more. Diplo, Reggie Watts, Pitbull, NBC, Bill Nye and many others have used AltspaceVR to host events. AltspaceVR is available in VR on Oculus Quest/Quest 2 and Rift/Rift-S, HTC Vive and Windows MR, and in 3D on Windows and Mac. The AltspaceVR team is part of the Mixed Reality group responsible for HoloLens 2, and at the forefront of AR and VR technology.

Responsibilities
As an AltspaceVR engineer on the Unity3D client team, you will have a direct impact on the user experience. You will be modifying and extending multiple core gameplay systems such as UI, in-world objects, VR and 3D controls, rendering, and user generated content management. You may also help support new platforms and improve performance across the product. You’ll be working together with a great team of designers, artists, engineers, and dreamers, and with a highly dedicated community, all working to bring the dream of social VR to life.
Qualifications
2+ years’ experience in 3D Realtime Software Engineering (games or equivalent) 2+ years’ experience with Unity3D Shipped at least 1 Unity3D experience on Android, iOS, Console, or VR Proven C# programming experience and debugging ability Ability to manage multiple priorities Strong problem solving and debugging skills Strong cross-discipline collaboration and communication skills

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
