Join the adventure of a lifetime as we make science fiction real and change the world.We are seeking an innovative Wafer Optical Test Engineer with experience creating, instrumenting, and analyzing optical test systems for micro optical displays and optical gratings. This is a full-time position and requires a master's level degree in electrical engineering, optical engineering, or related degree and relevant experience. Successful candidates must be comfortable working in a dynamic cross-functional team and exhibit excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities
  • Develop testing and metrology methods, algorithms, and stations for wafer-level display calibration
  • Source and qualify appropriate opto-mechanical components and instruments. Build and optimize image capture and calibration tools for fully automated system calibrations
  • Specify instruments and tools for optical measurements of components, sub-assemblies and systems in a fabrication facility
  • Work with vendors and partners to develop and optimize new methods, tools, and techniques
  • Collect and analyze data to validate and optimize approaches
  • Travel 15% to Asia for factory testing
Minimum Qualification
  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years working within the wafer/fabrication industry
  • 3+ years experience building automated optical test/calibration systems
  • 3+ years coding experience in MATLAB or Python
  • Advanced experience analyzing wafer-scale LEDs
  • Experience with optical gratings
  • Experience building optical simulations in tools such as Zemax
  • Experience of industry-standard tools and methodologies
  • Experience to develop novel optical calibration and test stations and techniques
  • Experience with optical technologies including imaging, lighting and cameras
  • Experience with statistical data analysis methods and tools including GR&R
  • Experience of industry-standard measurement tools
  • Experience building/driving builds of automated calibration/test equipment
  • Background managing cross-functional partners and outside vendors, building SOWs, R&Rs

Preferred Qualification
  • Experience working with station assemblies in SolidWorks
  • AI imaging/algorithm development experience
