Position: Proposal Specialist
In this position you will work closely with the Director of Partnerships and Growth and the CEO to develop winning capture strategies, have accountability to shape and win new business through a balanced focus on customer value, the competitive environment, and Dynepic’s DX Platform roadmap. This individual should be detail-oriented, flexible, a self-starter, and should enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment.
Scope of Work:
- Produce professional, compliant proposals for both commercial and government markets, in response to RFPs, RFIs, RPPs, RFQs, and BAAs, as well as unsolicited proposals
- Work with the proposal development team, which may include the Program Managers, New Business, Product, Design, and Finance to develop and organize proposal content for all factors (corporate capabilities, management approaches, past performance, cost proposals, etc.)
- Develop and recommend modifications to proposal policies and procedures
- Ensure that proposals meet a high standard of excellence and clearly communicate value propositions, win themes, and discriminators
- Effectively manage multiple proposals and team contributions simultaneously
- Assist with the development of PowerPoint in preparation for presentations
- Craft core proposal content by leveraging reusable text and graphics
- Edit proposals for clarity, grammar, accuracy, and consistent voice
- Analyze RFIs/RFPs and outline and organize proposal/submittal to be responsive to customer requirements, including content, format, forms, and other information
- Create assignment plans, develop schedules, and define deliverables for proposal efforts to ensure that proposal teams deliver in a timely manner
- Build proposal draft according to the set outline in each RFI/RFP and in alignment with company established style guidelines and messaging
- Develop and maintain winning capture strategies that align with company goals and ensure that business opportunities are not being missed
Qualifications:
- Ability to gain US security clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Software, IT, Engineering or similar field
- 5+ years of experience in proposal management, preferably in the IT professional services or software industry
- Experience with Government RFPs
· Knowledge of RFP life cycle management and federal acquisitions regulations (FAR)
- Proven passion for and ability to develop and win work
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating flexibility, accountability, initiative, and self-motivation to identify and execute tasks.
- Excellent Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) skills required
- Strong writing skills, and proven experience reviewing, writing, and editing capture and proposal content
- Experience with bid, pricing, teaming, and proposal strategy development and execution
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
- Proven ability to win proposals in a competitive environment
· Shipley or APMP Certification strongly preferred
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
