Reporting to the Payroll Manager, as the Senior Payroll Analyst you will process payroll for our Biweekly and Weekly pay groups in Workday. You will partner with other functions to ensure policies and procedures are followed and controls are in compliance with all applicable regulations. You will serve as the main point of contact for employee questions and inquires on all payroll related matters. You will take the lead on payroll tax compliance matters, Workday troubleshooting and the W-2/payroll year-end close process.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Responsible for accurate and timely processing of multi-state payroll for exempt and non-exempt workforce
  • Prepares & settles payroll in Workday
  • Serves as main point of contact for payroll & troubleshoots payroll related issues impacting employees (non-payments, pay discrepancies, general questions, etc.)
  • Processes RSU and stock transactions, ensuring tax liabilities are accurately calculated
  • Establishes accounts for new payroll tax jurisdictions and maintains existing tax accounts
  • Monitors and manages new and renewal registrations for payroll tax filings
  • Responds to and participates in auditor inquiries and selections
  • Processes unemployment, garnishments, levies and employment verifications
  • Contributes to continuous improvement efforts with processes and internal controls
  • Assist employees in understanding pay issues (paycheck details, calculations, etc.) and providing ongoing education
  • Follows up on withholding orders, tax notices and other correspondence received from government authorities;
  • Provides ad hoc reporting and other documentation to Finance, HR and other authorized parties

·        Ability to maintain a positive working relationship with internal and external customers

·        Ability to pay attention to details and be organized

·        Working knowledge of payroll best practices

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or related field and equivalent experience
  • Five (5) years’ experience preferred
  • Stock administration experience preferred
  • Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system
  • Working knowledge of payroll software, preferably Workday
  • Working knowledge of state requirements
