AR/VR Application Test Engineer and Lead for exciting next generation products
Summary
As an AR/VR Application Tester at our client, you'll ensure the delivery of high-quality tactile applications initially focused on Oculus VR Headsets. You'll be responsible for the quality of the“Home” Application and ensure it enables the desired experience for consumers. You will also ensure the release of our clients product including this specific Application will delight our customers.
You will work closely with colleagues and lead the development of an innovative and unique platform that will allow for the next level of presence within immersive computing. You must be passionate about disruptive technologies, understand consumer behavior (ideally with exposure to AR/VR) and willing to be part of the next breakthrough in human communication. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented engineer, with a passion for building great software products
and improving engineering efficiency.
Responsibilities:
· Test functionality of our client’s application experience built for our hardware platform with a focus on the Oculus headset.
· Plan, develop and execute test coverage for the entire Application.
· Diagnose issues, report defects, and propose regression tests to discover reoccurrences.
· Work with engineers and project leads to triage and prioritize issues for resolution.
· Own the process of creating metrics to measure and monitor product performance.
· Partner with the Application, Acoustics and Hardware team to leverage automation to allow better reliability and scalability.
Experience:
· BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience; 5+ years of Product testing experience
· Experience testing and debugging applications on Hardware and VR/AR Headsets
· Experienced with AR/VR headsets and the lifecycle testing of applications for these environments. Prior experience with launching Products, specifically software applications for the Oculus store is extremely helpful
· Experience building, shipping, and maintaining commercial software.
· Experience working with black box and white box testing.
· Knowledge of development workflow tools such as JIRA, TestRail or equivalent tracking and reporting tools.
· Understanding of how to prioritize issues, capture logs, write properly constructed defects is necessary.
