We are looking for an exceptional Principal Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VA/VE) Engineer within our Global Commodity Management group who will lead a team that identifies cost-out opportunities, develops business cases and builds implementation plans with the appropriate functions to enable value while minimizing risk.

  • Generates cost optimization ideas through rigorous cost data analysis and/or developing new approaches to established processes.
  • Conducts analytics and cost modeling to assist management in setting cost targets. This includes challenging specifications and should-costing parts to identify potential for cost reductions.
  • Develops and harmonizes a gated VA/VE process with functional organizations (Engineering, Commodity Management, Procurement, Manufacturing) to drive resource allocation and pacing through the lifecycle of project ideas. This includes ideation, business case development, activity planning, project execution & value realization.
  • Drives implementation of project plans until full value capture is realized
  • Builds and codifies cost analysis knowledge and capabilities.
  • Develops should-cost models to support the Commodity Managers’ analysis and strategies.


What will you bring to the team, along with your creativity and leadership is:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or business-related discipline, preferred Masters.
  • 10+ years of experience in Engineering or Supply Chain.
  • Experience running VA/VE and should-cost modelling programs.
  • Experience managing multifunctional, multicultural global teams.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills to build supporting networks.
  • Interpersonal and leadership skills with executive-level presentation proficiency.
