Principal Innovation and Learning Consultant: 


Job Summary


We are seeking an innovative Principal Consultant to join our consulting team on all stages of a project from proposal development to implementation. You will be directly involved in determining each client’s needs and expectations, identifying critical aspects of the project, developing the solution, and helping to implement it into their operations. Your leadership will guide our clients and internal teams through the project lifecycle and ensure they meet all outcomes and deadlines within budget. Once the implementation is complete, you will ensure a smooth transition for our client and evaluate the effectiveness of the changes over time.

 

Role and Responsibilities


The Principal Innovation and Learning Consultant will support the Innovation, Research and Development team’s goals of modelling and promoting a modern learning organization focused on building workforce capability, accelerate talent, and improve performance.

Principal Innovation and Learning Consultant: 


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meet with current and prospective clients to determine their current state, desired outcomes, and provide forward thinking recommendations to move them towards their goals 
  • Develop a strategy including solutioning that addresses the client’s needs
  • Identify critical team members and structure tasks to be shared among the team
  • Evaluate the short- and long-term effectiveness of the implemented solution and make adjustments as necessary

  • Design, develop, and apply measurement and evaluation strategies
  • Lead Design Thinking workshops (persona development, problem definition, use case identification, measurement, etc.)
  • Lead teams with an agile development approach
  • Perform job task analysis and gap analysis
  • Stay abreast of learning trends, practices, technologies, methodologies/approaches and share at the enterprise level
  • Partner with clients and internal team members in the development of learner-centric solutions
  • Manage teams of diverse backgrounds and disciplines in pursuit of program excellence
  • Apply appropriate instructional design principles for learning experiences that incorporate traditional and modern learning modalities (ILT, VILT, OJT, LXP, AR/VR, WBT, Social/Collaborative platforms, etc.)

Education/Experience

  • Master’s Degree in a related field e.g. Instructional Design, Performance Consulting, preferred
  • 10-15 years experience in a consulting or comparable role
  • Demonstrated experience with influencing and leading teams
