Job Overview: This position is for a player-coach role to eventually recruit and lead a 2-3 person marketing team to drive awareness and develop leads in targeted markets, primarily automotive with a secondary focus on industrial and commercial transportation, aerospace and defense, and electronics.
As the Digital Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for implementing marketing strategies that drive awareness and deliver leads to our sales team. This position requires experience in B2B marketing in the Industrial Technology industry, strong digital marketing technology skills, and a demonstrated ability to lead both key marketing initiatives and the team to execute on the plan. Our ideal candidate is a hands-on team player who is good at developing a focused message, positioning (within the company, our target markets, and within digital media thought leaders and industry players), developing content, and managing the marketing team effectively. This full-time position is based in our Wixom office and reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer.
What We’re Looking For: A highly energetic hands-on manager who is able to lead and contribute to message and content development, an “A player” marketing manager who is adept in all aspects of B2B / digital marketing with extensive experience in digital marketing, events, public relations and lead development. You will play a key role in guiding the company toward achieving its goals and will be fully engaged with the leadership team to help us build Light Guide Systems as a global AR technology success story.
Position Responsibilities:
● Primary owner and responsibility for generating Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL)
● Manage all aspects of our online and digital marketing programs, including website development, SEO, SEM, marketing automation, blog, multimedia and social media campaigns.
● Managing the interface from our Marketing Automation platform (Pardot) to our CRM (Salesforce) platform
● Manage and optimize our lead generation sourcing, including our ZoomInfo platform
● Recruit, train and lead other members of the marketing team.
● Develop and deliver a consistent message and voice across all marketing, sales and corporate communications.
● Create and implement effective lead-generation and top-of-mind campaigns to our target markets and prospects.
● Coordinate the development of content that promotes Light Guide Systems as a thought leader in the markets we serve through educational marketing, case studies, white papers, webinars, and speaking engagements.
● Develop public relations campaigns and media relationships to drive the visibility of the company in targeted markets.
● Define, analyze and interpret key marketing metrics; track and maximize the effectiveness and ROI of all marketing campaigns.
● Manage the creation of sales collateral such as data sheets, presentations and customer success stories and testimonials.
● Perform other duties as assigned to help the Light Guide Systems team achieve its objectives.
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technology or marketing related field.
● Minimum 7 years of experience in managing marketing programs and teams in the B2B enterprise technology market, including budget responsibility, and hiring, training, managing, mentoring and evaluating performance.
● Minimum 5 years of successful hands-on experience (non-agency) in digital marketing, including web-based marketing, SEO, SEM, blog, multimedia and social media campaigns.
● Expertise with tools and platforms such as Pardot (or equivalent marketing automation tools), Google Analytics / AdWords, and other digital marketing tools
● Fluency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook).
● Demonstrated success and experience in garnering trade press and blog attention through PR campaigns.
● Demonstrated success in partnering with and supporting technical sales organizations to serve their needs and help them attain their goals.
● Demonstrated successful track record in developing marketing campaigns and measuring results against objectives, including ROI.
● Demonstrated depth and breadth in industry technology knowledge (Industry 4.0 / Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) highly desirable).
● Strong verbal and written communications skills.
● Team motivator with strong work ethic and a “can-do” positive attitude.
