Field Services Business Development Director

This individual contributor role is a combination of services business development and account management, with a key focus on selling services for PTC’s core PLM/CAD products and our leading Industrial IoT and Augmented/Virtual Reality, and Analytics products to clients and prospects in the Americas (Canada, US, LATAM). Working closely with PTC Field Sales and Field Services teams across PTC, you will not only about build relationships with PTC’s top clients but also across the PTC ecosystem.

Day-To-Day
  • Drive pipeline and ultimately generate revenue for PTC
  • Identify and close services opportunities in conjunction with the Sales and Partner ecosystem.
  • Understand client needs and provide outstanding service while adhering to PTC’s core values
  • Drive initial value propositions for PTC Services solutions through effective proposals
  • Lead strategic proposal response development for follow-on business
  • Drive and support roadmap alignment and revision at the executive level
  • Build meaningful client relationships, through trust, credibility, and commitment
  • Effectively plan and accurately forecast bookings
Business Development
  • Develop confidence through an understanding of your client’s key business initiatives and PTC’s services methodology and value proposition
  • Align a rolling services roadmap to Client strategies and initiatives
  • Provide timely, flexible, innovative and proactive value-added recommendations to internal and external Clients
  • Work with Sales and Partner Organization to identify opportunities
  • Manage a pipeline of services opportunities
  • Independently develop and execute services sales campaigns in an assigned territory
  • Identify, cultivate, negotiate and close services opportunities within existing accounts and prospects
  • Document professional services engagements through high-quality Statements of Work (SOWs) and Customer Success Plans
  • Provide frequent business outlook, including; forecasting, pipeline strength, and prospect identification
  • Accurately record activities in our CRM and financial systems
Preferred Skills And Knowledge
  • Domaine experience in industrial design, engineering, manufacturing, service and/or PTC PLM, CAD, IoT and AR technology
  • Ability to articulate Digital Transformation, Digital Thread best practices
  • Produce and deliver polished and professional proposals
  • Advanced presentation skills
  • Competitive drive, strong negotiating and influencing abilities
  • Partner with the Sales and Partner ecosystem to grow the business
  • Work well under pressure in unstructured and structured environments
  • A desire to win and do whatever it takes to drive success
  • Strong knowledge of PTC Solutions and the Field Services Portfolio
  • Spanish speaking a plus
Preferred Experience
  • CxO level partnership experience
  • Functional experience in product development, Manufacturing, Engineering and Analytics
  • Has owned and consistently met a sales quota
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree, plus 5 years of professional experience
  • 75% travel, including international
