-Innovate and design the new system concept and architecture for beyond 5G (B5G) and 6G

-Identify the key problems and validate the solution feasibility by simulation or prototype experiment

-PoC system engineering including trial spec. definition and support prototype platform development

-End-to-End application platform integration and cross-layer system engineering

-Contribute to 3GPP and associated global/regional industry standardization efforts


Requirement

-Good knowledge of or familiarity with at least one of the following focuses

-Communication focus (at least two of the following):

  1. Communication system theory (e.g. probability, digital signal processing, linear algebra, random processes, detection and estimation) and wireless systems
  2. Physical layer waveform design, channel coding and procedures
  3. L2/L3 user plane and control plane protocol stacks and ability to perform cross-layer optimizations
  4. Current cellular or Wi-Fi communication standards: e.g. 5G (NR), 4G (LTE), IEEE 802.11ax, IEEE 802.11ax/ay/az/be
  5. Link/system level simulator development

-Application focus (at least either AI or AR/VR research/development experience):

  1. ML frameworks such as: Tensorflow, Keras, Pytorch, Caffee, etc.
  2. ML algorithms for the problems, like Regression, Classification, Clustering, Dimensionality reduction, Structured output, Anomaly detection etc.
  3. Contextual Bandit algorithms, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning and Federated Learning
  4. Cross-layer knowledge on SW and HW platform, including codec, OS, kernel, CPU, GPU, modem, etc. and able to communicate with multi-discipline experts to fix bug and to enhancement performance
  5. Standard AR and VR hardware, software, best practices, and design patterns

-Familiarity with Matlab, C/C++ and/or Python

-Self-motivated, good English communication capability, good team work capability and cross-nation collaboration capability


PREFERRED

-Prior experience attending and contributing to 3GPP RAN working groups

-Research or implementation experience in mmW & THz

-Experience in satellite communication system

-Familiarity with edge computing

-Experience with prototype implementation for proof of concept (PoC) and demos
