Senior Software Engineer

The Mixed Reality Systems Engineering team has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer who has experience contributing to the design, implementation, and bring-up of modemn/RF subsystems on our products.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cellular protocol stack, modem/rf drivers and tools for our product.
• Analyze 3GPP/Operator’s device specifications and correlate them with product features/requirements.
• Assist with hardware bring-up, 3rd party driver integration, testing , debugging and device manufacturing.
• Work in close partnership with a team of cross discipline peers including design, hardware, PM and Quality Engineering for sustained long term success.
  
  

Qualifications

• A BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Preferred Requirement:
  
  • Design/development of 5G/4G Protocol (RLC/MAC/RRC/NAS and PDCP) with solid understanding of IP,TCP,UDP etc.
  • Design/development of Layer 1 (Physical), firmware or RF Driver.
  • Modem/RF systems testing, GCF/PTCRB certification, OTA testing, regulatory testing etc.
• 3+ years hands on experience in wireless development/system/test engineering in at least one or more of the following areas:

Minimum Requirement:

• Strong knowledge of 5G NR and LTE Data protocols.
• Strong Software Engineering skills including embedded systems design, programming (C or C++) and debugging.
• Broad spectrum of knowledge to be able to understand end-to-end network system architecture from wireless physical layer all the way up to application end-point.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

• Experience working with different Cellular Chipset suppliers.
• Wireless Device product commercialization experience.
• Radio networks capacity planning, data traffic profiling/modeling and simulations.
