About Us:

Project Archer is an Augmented Reality studio based in the Seattle area. We are a team of engineers, designers, innovators and creators dedicated to paving the way for augmented reality applications in the retail space. Our focus is on functional use cases that merge diverse data streams and personalized information with specific physical locations to create productive and entertaining immersive real-world shopping experiences.


What you’ll do:

  • Work with the Product team to develop and prioritize the roadmap that drives the future of augmented reality retail.
  • Work with our development team leads to define and execute an architecture that takes us from R&D to production to deployment. Our project spans a wide range of technologies including; persistent augmented reality implemented on the Unity platform, NLP based conversational user interfaces, broad use of machine learning, extensive tools and pipeline development effort, large and challenging Cloud & Data development which includes incorporating huge amounts of external data (and must eventually scale to support a huge user base).
  • Move us from R&D to Production to deployment by deploying effective development processes and tools necessary to design, develop, prototype, scale, and validate technologies.
  • Lead, mentor and develop software engineering and IT personnel: Five development leads are direct reports to this position.
  • This position reports directly to the CEO and works closely with the Senior Product Manager.


What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Start-up experience: You have built teams and processes from scratch.
  • Big company experience: Our customers will be very large companies and experience on how to work with, integrate with, these behemoths is very important.
  • Proven experience working with Product. To successfully invent the future, these two areas must work hand in hand.
  • Experience in consumer technology development.
  • Expertise in SaaS product engineering and operations.
  • Expertise in complex Build/Release management, CI/CD pipeline development, building devops culture and collaborative teams.
  • Expertise in supporting startup “move fast” requirements, while designing and building solutions in a direct line that leads to reliable, maintainable, and scalable systems .
  • The ability to think strategically, be tremendously adaptable, and have the ability to think about problems and scalability issues ahead of time.
