In Teams, we are reinventing the way people collaborate at work, at school, and in their personal lives. We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Program Manager to lead our new incubation team to innovate some of our next-generation Meetings and Calling experiences.
Ideal Candidates Will Possess The Following Characteristics

- Especially well-rounded in business, technology, and user experience expertise
- Past experience bringing new ideas to market, and learning from those experiences
- Ability to engage deeply with customers and partners to identify their unmet needs
- Intellectually curious AND with a bias towards action
- Proven track record of delivering results in part through others
- Able to collaborate effectively with and inspire engineering and business groups across Microsoft
- Ability to quickly formulate new virtual teams and lead them to produce new experiences
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations
- A deep desire to help others collaborate
- The ability to lead other Program Managers at some point in the future
- Some experience in Augmented Reality (AR) or Virtual Reality (VR) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Serve as the PM leading the new Teams Calling, Meetings, and Devices incubation team. While this leadership role will have no direct reports initially, the leader will be required to lead virtual teams building out new experiences.
- Define operating model for the new incubation team
- Identify new opportunities, select appropriate candidates for the incubation team, and lead them to implementation
- Partner closely with other feature team leaders across Teams Calling, Meetings, and Devices who are also driving their own innovation to share ideas and best practices
- Partner closely with technology teams and other feature teams across Microsoft to assemble new experiences
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree along with degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics. Supplemental busines degrees (such as an MBA) a bonus.
10+ years of relevant experience building business or consumer products.
