Entry Level Software Engineer

The Vuforia R&D team is building the world’s leading industrial Augmented Reality (AR) solutions. Working from our new location in Shoreview, MN your job is to help architect, design, build, and run modern, scalable cloud infrastructure that supports rapid development of new and exciting AR solutions that enable our customers to unlock value in a variety of use cases.

Your Team

Your team is co-located in Shoreview, MN, but works closely with a number of globally distributed teams and individuals. The team is responsible for cloud infrastructure security, design and support, including automated CI/CD infrastructure that application teams use to build and execute promotion pipelines. Your team provides tooling and guidance to application teams, mentoring and supporting them in leveraging Devops practices to build SaaS solutions following an agile process on a 4-week release cadence.

In The Course Of a Typical Day You Would

Your Day-To-Day:

• Coordinate work with teammates through daily standups
• Author new code and automated tests.
• Provide support for production systems
• Drive solution alignment across organizations, through evangelization and adoption where applicable
• Create and maintain documentation including standard operating procedures, work instructions, system diagrams
• Drive system improvements with the intent of optimizing quality, performance, and efficiency
• Continual re-evaluation of existing stack and infrastructure to maintain optimal performance, availability, security and cost optimization
• Institute infrastructure as code, security automation and automation or routine maintenance tasks
  

Preferred Skills And Knowledge

• Strong written and verbal skills
• Effective presentation skills
• Understanding of GitLab or GitHub a plus
• Comfortable providing after hours support for owned infrastructure. This may include occasional off-hours and weekend support.
  

Qualifications

• BA or advanced degree in computer science.
