Ericsson One, an internal venture studio that brings ground-breaking ideas and new products to market is now looking for an Interactive Engineer, to help build the 3D future of human connection.

Project Spectre has recently been awarded Ericsson’s 2020 Top Performance Award for Innovation and is now coming out of stealth. Spectre plans to use Ericsson’s worldwide scale to launch a ground-breaking product that sits at the intersection of deep learning, computer vision, computer graphics and XR (VR/AR).

 We are looking for people who have a start-up mentality; people who are creative, passionate, inventive, and capable of helping us launch this innovative business globally. You will
  • Conceptualize and design category-defining experiences centered around digital humans and 3D presence—we’re all about imagineering experiences the world doesn’t yet know it can’t live without
  • Own the development of interactive (in Unity and Unreal), from prototypes to product release
  • Collaborate with creative, product design and engineering teams to ensure experiences seamlessly introduce users to such new mediums, so they can effectively extend their human ability in the surprising and delightful ways you imagine

To be successful in the role you must have
  • Demonstrable industry experience designing and developing 3D interactive experiences
  • Proficiency in Unity, Unreal, or other major game engines
  • B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience 

Preferred Qualifications
  • Standout creative portfolio
  • Shipped AAA games or VFX
  • Experience with tools such as Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, Zbrush, Photoshop, and Substance Painter, such that you can create your own 3D assets
  • Shader programming & particle system experience, such that you can achieve a certain look or interactive effect down to the finer details
  • AR/VR experience
