MKS Instruments is exploring automation of various test and assembly processes in laser applications.  Collaborating with Manufacturing Engineering across multiple MKS factories, The Robotics Mechanical Systems Intern will research and compile strategies for approach in robotics and control systems. 


We are looking for an exceptional Robotics Mechanical Systems Intern who can…

  • Collaborate with Project Management and Engineering teams to formulate plans.
  • Review various laser alignment and test processes from various MKS factories.
  • Research available robotics and control system technologies to develop automation approach.
  • Interface with Product Development Engineers, New Product Introduction Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers to develop preliminary design and process constraints
  • May involve international and domestic travel


What will you bring to the team, along with your desire to learn is:

  • Enrolled in a Master’s Degree program for Mechanical Engineering with concentration in Robotics
  • University robotics project experience
  • Possess critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
