Facebook Reality Labs' AR/VR Experiences team is exploring the potential of virtual and augmented reality to bring people together in new ways. We are designing technologies that help people to create, share meaningful moments, and build communities using the unique qualities of these immersive new mediums. We aim to develop experiences that put people first, defining a future where virtual reality enables us to connect with the people and content we care about like never before. We’re looking for a Product Management Leader to lead the team of Product Managers developing Facebook Horizon’s player value systems, which includes player reward systems, safety and reporting systems, influencer and community development, and more. As the Product Management Lead on the Player Value team, you will manage the team building features designed to create rewards loops, incentivize positive behavior, and foster creators and influencers in the community. Your team will build features that help Horizon creators build and engage with an audience, that allow users to customize and evolve their identity, and establish industry-leading safety and anti-harassment systems.The ideal candidate is an experienced Product leader with a background building consumer-facing experiences, rewards systems, communities, safety systems, and/or interactive social experiences in games or virtual reality.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of Product Managers and lead the ideation, technical development and launch of Horizon’s rewards and player value systems
- Drive product development with a team of world-class engineers, designers and user researchers
- Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction
- Drive strategy to enable positive behavior and investment in Horizon such as rewards systems, safety and reporting features, tools for influencers, and more
- Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of Horizon’s reward systems
- Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm
- Offer organizational design thinking to best structure the team and equip them for success in their goals
Minimum Qualification
- 6+ years of experience in Product Management
- 6+ years of experience working collaboratively with engineering, design and user research teams
- 4+ years of management experience with direct reports under your guidance and leadership
- Critical thinking/analytical leadership experience
- Product leadership in crafting emerging experiences
- Experience in platform/ecosystem products, marketplaces
- Experience in building and maintaining online/virtual communities
