Within QCT's Visual Technology Group in San Diego you will be responsible for developing systems and software solutions for Snapdragon Augmented and Virtual Reality systems.
You will apply software engineering, system analysis, lab automation, and data analysis skills to establish, capture, and interpret metrics to guide the design of next generation XR technologies and chipsets. Your ability to partner and communicate effectively with teams in other disciplines is essential. You’ll be working with multidisciplinary XR teams to establish KPIs, develop and instrument software on Android and Linux based AR/VR head mounted systems, utilize and extend lab equipment for simulation and measurement, collaborate on prototype hardware, and provide KPIs and performance recommendations.
Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience
- 2+ years experience working in one or more multimedia technology areas (i.e., speech, audio, imaging, computer vision, display, sensing, biometrics, augmented/virtual reality)
- Highly proficient with C/C++ on Linux and Android systems
- Track record of automated, test-driven development and analysis
- Excellent communication skills within cross-functional teams designing complex products
- Proficiency with one or more scripting languages for automation
- Design and development of commercial software products for AR or VR head mounted systems
- System understanding of XR specific use cases and technologies
- System performance analysis and KPI generation for commercial products informing product design and/or marketing
- System analysis with automated control systems (ex. robotic arms, turntables, autonomous vehicles, motion capture)
- Data analytics and reporting with platforms such as Tableau
- Automation servers such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or TeamCity
