The Facebook Reality Labs group brings together world-class experts to develop and ship groundbreaking products at the intersection of hardware, software and content. We are building the tools and experiences that make people feel closer together. This includes Oculus and Portal products, Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). We are seeking a Social Marketing Manager to join our newly formed AR marcom team. The Social Marketing Manager will be building a global social strategy from the ground up for our AR brand. They will partner with internal teams and agency partners to develop social media strategy, content, and lead community management. We are looking for a strategic and creative individual who has a strong social background delivering best in class work that has had an impact in culture. In this position, you will be part of a team to help develop and define the people, processes and tools needed to deliver best-in-class social marketing.

Responsibilities
  • Pioneer our AR global social strategy and engage followers across channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and Reddit.
  • Identify and implement social processes to drive efficiencies and best-in-class work.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop innovative and differentiated social content (e.g. Product Marketing, Creative, Sales, Performance Marketing, Brand Strategy and PR).
  • Create innovative platform specific strategies and content and drive the editorial calendar to support/execute campaigns and evergreen content across key channels, ensuring our work adheres to brand guidelines.
  • Lead and manage agency partners and collaborate with in-house creative teams/production vendors.
  • Analyze and report on the performance of owned social channels to measure the effectiveness of our efforts, with an emphasis on continuous optimization and iteration.
  • Collaborate with paid media team to design on-platform paid social strategies and tactics.
  • Manage global collaboration for initiatives with regional marketing counterparts.
Minimum Qualification
  • 8+ years experience managing owned social channels within global consumer product categories and brands such as consumer tech, fashion, entertainment or culture.
  • Experience in creating social media strategies from inception to growth that have driven brand engagement and growth.
  • Experience leading agency partners/in-house creative and inspiring them to make the best work for our social channels.
  • Proven record of creativity and innovation in social media content and strategies that have driven engagement.
  • Demonstrated understanding of behavioural and technology trends in the social space.
  • Experience in delivering global culturally relevant, forward- thinking consumer centric initiatives.

Preferred Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent marketing experience
  • Experience in highly innovative consumer product categories and brands such as consumer tech and/or AR/VR technologies, fashion, entertainment or culture brands
