Qualcomm's Visual Technology Systems Team defines novel technologies and SoC architecture feature for a wide range of use cases including advanced and AI enhanced camera, virtual and augmented reality and autonomous/assisted vehicles. The team uses a variety of architecture analysis tools and methodologies to understand, document and optimize performance and power of use cases. This includes a python-based use case dataflow analysis tool with a GUI, which is used by a global organization for advanced feature development. The team is seeking an engineer to define and enhance these tools and methodologies, and to support architecture analyses.

The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For

• Working with global technology teams to collect and understand modeling needs and translate these into tool requirements and a roadmap of feature enhancements
• Develop and support modeling infrastructure and enhancements, including HW/SW partition modeling, performance and power modeling
• Develop and support usability and GUI features
• Working with technology, hardware and software experts to translate use case requirements into implementation specifications
• Implementation of models for visual processing modules and use cases
• Execution of analysis to optimize power and performance across AR/VR, AI-enhanced camera and other visual technology use cases
  
  

For this multi-disciplinary role an ideal candidate has proven expertise in system level modeling and power analysis, SoC architecture and HW/SW partitioning. Experience visual technology and use cases is a significant asset.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience.
  
  
  

Preferred Requirements

• 3+ years experience in visual technology architecture/design with emphasis on areas listed:
• Expert in Python and C/C++
• Outstanding software engineering skills
• Outstanding problem-solving skills
• Outstanding communication skills
• Proven experience with system level performance and/or power modeling
