About the Role

We are looking for an experienced AR/VR Systems Engineer to join our remote talent network. In this role, you will architect and implement system-level components for immersive experiences across AR and VR platforms. Your work will power real-time, interactive environments that push the boundaries of visual computing, spatial interaction, and human-computer integration.


Responsibilities

  • Design and develop core systems for AR/VR applications, including sensor integration, tracking, and spatial computing
  • Optimize rendering pipelines, latency, and performance for AR/VR headsets and mobile platforms
  • Work closely with 3D developers, UI/UX teams, and hardware specialists to deliver seamless, immersive experiences
  • Implement real-time data processing from cameras, IMUs, depth sensors, and hand/eye tracking devices
  • Debug and tune XR system performance across multiple devices and environments
  • Contribute to prototype development and testing for new interactive features


Core Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency in C++, C#, or Python for system-level AR/VR development
  • Hands-on experience with Unity, Unreal Engine, ARKit, or ARCore
  • Deep understanding of 3D geometry, spatial mapping, and real-time rendering
  • Experience with AR/VR hardware (e.g., HoloLens, Meta Quest, Magic Leap)
  • Knowledge of SLAM, sensor fusion, and pose estimation
  • Familiarity with XR SDKs, OpenXR, and performance optimization techniques


Additional Skills We Value

  • Shader development (HLSL/GLSL), custom rendering, or VFX pipelines
  • Experience with WebXR, OpenCV, or machine vision systems
  • Knowledge of UX in immersive environments, gesture controls, and spatial audio
  • Exposure to AI/ML models for real-time object recognition or tracking
  • Background in robotics, simulation, or training systems is a plus
