Role: AR, Collections Specialist

Location: Englewood, CO (in-office)

Pay Range Up To: $65,000, DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts receivable processes including accurate and timely invoicing, monitoring of aging reports, and reconciliation of customer accounts
  • Implement effective collection strategies to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes promptly and professionally
  • Record and reconcile customer payments, allocate them correctly, and manage cash application processes
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing issues, payment terms, and account balances
  • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, collections activities, and aging analysis
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounts receivable and collections procedures
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize billing processes and enhance overall efficiency

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or similar role, preferably in the construction industry
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of construction billing processes and contract terms is a plus
