The 3D mapping team's mission is to develop cutting-edge core technologies for 3D mapping and contextual understanding for metaverse digital twins. Our team is building large-scale persistent maps for AR and VR products at Meta. The precise geometric representation of the environment enables rich and consistent AR and VR experiences. Responsibilities
Lead computer vision and machine learning algorithm development for 3D mapping. Develop state-of-the-art software solutions for high quality 3D maps. Collaborate with partner teams on sensor calibration, map quality assessment, and user experiences. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Expertise in computer vision, and machine learning domain knowledge in 3D mapping. Proven experience with C++ and/or Python, including experience with modern features. Understanding and experiences of 3D geometry, linear algebra, numerical optimization, statistics and probability. Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Robotics or related field. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering. Experienced in advanced geometric computer vision, computational imaging, large scale numerical optimization, state estimation, and sensor fusion. Experience working in a Linux environment. Broad understanding of the full machine vision pipeline from sensors to high-level algorithms. Compensation : US$70.67/hour to US$208,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits.
