Audio Visual Technician (IT Support, Crestron)

Optomi, in partnership with a leading professional services firm, is seeking an AV Technician to join their team! In this role, the AV Technician will be responsible for ensuring seamless technology support for engagement teams by planning, setting up, testing, and maintaining AV systems. Ideal candidates will have expertise in Crestron, Microsoft Office Suite, and AV troubleshooting. Additionally, this role involves supporting executive-level meetings and events, delivering a high level of customer service, and ensuring a flawless audiovisual experience.

Experience of the right candidate:

  • 3+ years of customer service and 2+ years of relative working experience is required to ensure tasks are completed with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in the development of operational procedures and aptitude to develop performance measures to quantify service performance.
  • Demonstrates a client-service attitude and aptitude.
  • Experience with technologies including, but not limited to, networking, Windows, Apple IOS, Crestron systems, Smart Displays, and other in-room technologies as described above.
  • Ability to follow standards, processes, and procedures within the scope of T&I Visual Technologies teams.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal formats to all levels within the organizations as well as communicate directly with customers on new projects and / or issues.
  • Experience fostering a cooperative environment with an entire project team.


Responsibilities of the right candidate:

  • Support engagement teams by ensuring technology needs are planned for, set up, tested, and supported throughout studio sessions.
  • Manage all aspects of system availability, setup, and training.
  • Provide customer support for studio delivery teams, applications, and systems, including:
  • Problem-solving technology issues.
  • Configuration and implementation efforts for large, complex projects.
  • Emphasis on operational excellence and continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
  • Act as a technology advisor to support delivery teams in enhancing client demonstrations using exponential technologies, including:
  • Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR).
  • Wearable IoT devices and associated software applications.
  • Plan, document procedures, and coordinate software and hardware activities with local and remote team members.
  • Provide flexibility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with rapid technology changes and complex customer demands.
  • Work primarily during weekdays, with some evening, night, and weekend availability as needed.
