Business Strategy and Operations

Employer

Job Description

At Meta Reality Labs, we build tools that help people feel connected anytime, anywhere. We’re on a mission to build the next computing platform by putting people at the center of emerging hardware and software technologies, whether on the go with wearables and augmented reality, in the home or at work, or fully immersed in alternate virtual reality worlds. We are looking for a leader who will be responsible for growing our business and driving execution with key product group functions. In particular this role will be focused on an intersection of initiative ownership (framing key topics, driving the work forward, and analyzing relevant data and performance) with a balance of program operations (experience with managing programs in budgeting, headcount allocations, internal rhythms of business and executive communications). The ideal candidate will be suited to play both roles simultaneously. This high visibility role will be accountable for ensuring our investments have compelling business cases and facilitating cross-functional leadership decisions on our product and technology portfolio.

Business Strategy and Operations Responsibilities:

  • Build strategic capacity (e.g., data-driven processes, frameworks, analytical tools, etc.) to identify and prioritize business development opportunities and drive the Wearables mission forward
  • Provide critical support on unplanned high-priority projects, working through ambiguity to create structure and execution plans in a fast-paced environment
  • Manage programs and track work streams across the WBG organization, ensuring strategy is implemented across the org.
  • Define and improve overall new processes, including planning, gating and jeopardy management. Make tradeoffs where needed to achieve results.
  • Work with cross-functional teams on budget, headcount allocations, annual planning, and other strategic initiatives including goal mapping.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, balance business objectives and needs versus technical and operational constraints and adjudicate between internal stakeholder groups to resolve blocking issues.
  • Build organizational maturity by setting best practices, knowledge sharing and continuous learning across RL.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree
  • Experience creating structure and execution plans from multiple sources of information in a fast-paced environment
  • 5+ years of experience in operations and program management, process design, project planning, or business planning
  • Experience delivering communications to leadership and cross functional partners
  • Experience representing programs, projects and products with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience working in ambiguity and experience creating structure and execution plans where there were none while working in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, strategy, management consulting, product management, portfolio operations, or a technical field
  • Domain expertise in Consumer Electronics or Software
  • Experience with leading organizational transformation and process improvement
  • 5+ years experience in consumer electronics or technology products or 5+ years experience in tech
