Hardware Engineer - Sunnyvale, CA



Job Description:

Meta Reality Labs is looking for a Hardware Engineer to join their team in Sunnyvale, CA. In this position, you will be supporting the next generation of Virtual Reality Org supporting AR/VR products, wearables, and more! The focus will be on modeling, building out simulations, performance forecasting, and performing time-series analysis



Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in simulation and modeling using MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Battery or Power experience. (Voltage/Batteries testing)
  • Experience with modeling, device performance forecasting, and time-series analysis
  • Experience benchmarking system architecture performance through floating and fixed-point simulations in Matlab/Simulink
  • Knowledge of sensors, electronic circuits, or hardware development
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Define electrical validation methodologies for PCB and different subsystems by working with system integration EE team and technology teams.
  • Define and track detailed test plans for the different modules and top-level systems.
  • Validation coverage includes SoC, low speed signal interface (I2C, I2S, PDM...etc), I/O signals, high speed differential interface, electrical performance of subsystems such as optical sensors, microphones, cameras, battery, charger, and RF.
  • Drive and execute validation to meet key deadlines and priority goals.
  • Own execution, interpretation, and reporting of electrical validation work status and results.
  • Keep track of coverage metrics and bugs encountered and fixed Support system bring up and debug activities.
  • Clearly communicate test plans and results


Plusses:

  • Board and system level validation and debugging experience
  • FW verification experience System and Subsystem power verification.
  • C#, Python, and LabView development experience
  • Master's in electrical engineering or computer science
