Job Description

Duration:

  • 6 months to start but can go beyond (similar to the other contractors we have on our Art Team)


Qualifications

  • At least 2-3+ years of experience working in a technical art role with at least 1-2 shipped titles
  • Experience developing content creation workflows and asset integration processes
  • A strong understanding of Unity, recent work in Unity
  • Experience with common scripting languages (C#,Python, MEL script, etc.) and the ability to create custom art tools and scripts.
  • Experience working in Unity for VR, mobile, PC, and console
  • Experience profiling in-game assets and providing optimization recommendations
  • A strong reel/portfolio showing executed game technical art


Preference For Candidates With:

  • Familiarity with C#, and working with Unity Visual Scripting
  • Experience working with VFX, Unity VFXGraph
  • Experience working with Material/ Shders in Unity, Shader Graph, Amplify
  • Experience with Unity Engine side Animation/ Rigging tools
  • A practical knowledge of keyframing, joints and locators, particle systems, physics, and rigid/soft body simulations


Responsibilities

  • Provide technical art support for both co-developed and internally developed projects
  • Work with artists, designers, and engineers to improve content creation processes, asset integration and workflow efficiency
  • Design, develop and maintain tools to streamline 3D art asset pipelines
  • Troubleshoot issues associated with art files as they arise and provide feedback and debugging of complex assets
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
