Immersive Technology Coordinator (Burbank/Glendale CA)
Hybrid- 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs) onsite between Glendale, CA and Burbank, CA!
Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the entertainment industry, is looking for an outstanding candidate to serve as a Coordinator . This role will help the team realize its strategic mission of finding better ways to make our movies today and developing new ways to experience our stories tomorrow. As part of this, this role will work seamlessly with key internal stakeholders and external innovation partners to deliver cutting-edge immersive (AR/VR/XR) digital tools. To be successful, the Coordinator must be highly organized, a quick learner, innovative and have a good understanding of the key technologies that will drive and advance the ideation, production, management and delivery of content and experiences. The Coordinator must have solid communication abilities and work well in complex cross-functional teams. An ability to be flexible and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to meet the needs of our business are critical to success.
Experience of the right candidate:
- 2+ years of coordination/project management experience in entertainment and/or technology
- Understanding of creative development process and workflow for complex projects
- Strong written and verbal skills and ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to work independently, support several projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively while demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and seeking guidance as needed
- Computer proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote
- Passionate about emerging, immersive technology and production, with keen interest in staying updated on the latest industry trends and advancements
- Experience with SAP, Smartsheets, JIRA
- Experience with AR/VR and related technology
Responsibilities of the right candidate:
- Coordinate team logistics and complex projects working under the direction of the Sr Manager
- Drive asset collection & approval processes across studio banners, track all notes & approvals throughout project life cycle
- Assist in the logistics for contracts, purchasing, vendor onboarding, invoice processing and categorizing expenses
- Assist onboarding contractors and vendors on projects, including tracking necessary paperwork
- Responsible for team purchasing approval process
- Assist in communicating complex technology processes through documentation and decks
- Working with leads in the team to establish an effective and efficient organizational structure for projects, making sure communications & project updates are flowing appropriately
- Manage and track digital asset flow between internal and external groups
- Develop and reinforce working relationships with the internal team and corporate partners
- Manage team schedules, facilitate effective notetaking, and oversee logistics to ensure seamless team operations
- Support leadership in cultivating a positive team culture by planning and organizing team events and celebrations
- Coordinate and assist in setting up technical demos, ensuring all equipment and software are prepared and functioning correctly
