Mindshow is seeking a detail-oriented Line Producer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for solving logistical challenges and a strong focus on budgets, tracking, and resource management. You will oversee the financial and operational aspects of producing innovative content at the intersection of animation and real-time VR technology. Responsibilities include managing budgets, tracking costs, handling contracts and bids, and ensuring production efficiency, all while maintaining clear communication with leadership and the production team.

In support of the VP of Production, you will create and track series budgets, develop schedules, and implement operational processes to boost efficiency. The ideal candidate is hands-on, solution-oriented, and analytical, with an ability to balance both short-term project goals and long-term company objectives.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Downtown Los Angeles, CA, with standard office hours from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM PST. Flexibility may be required to meet production deadlines. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the VP of Production to create series budgets and negotiate with clients
• Develop and manage series schedules, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely execution
• Track invoices, internal costs, and provide frequent cost reports
• Quickly address and report cost overages and schedule impacts based on client requests
• Track, submit, and manage incoming and outgoing Change Orders
• Drive improvements in production processes by identifying and solving efficiency bottlenecks
• Request, analyze, and negotiate bids and contracts from vendors
• Manage talent, crew, and contractors, including hiring, contract negotiation, and onboarding
• Approve vendor cost overages and ensure contract protection
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and vendors
• Track and report team performance metrics, including project health and progress towards goals
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in production, gaming, entertainment, or a related industry
• Proven experience creating series budgets, bids, and schedules
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills (Slack, email, face-to-face)
• Passion for process, innovation, and efficiency
  
  

Desired Qualifications

• Background in Production Accounting
• Client management experience
• Familiarity with CG animation pipelines
• Experience working with international vendors
• Experience in the animation and/or VR space
