What Projects Will I Work On?
Key duties include inputting, editing, and maintaining GIS data, ensuring data quality, and providing related support as required.
Perform various tasks supporting mapping, records, and applications.
Working across a spectrum of projects, you will have measurable impact on:
Flagship Applications: Work on designing, developing, maintaining all aspects of maps and geodata that fuel our flagship applications
AI: Collaborate with peers on AI projects as they relate to GIS and maps
R&D: Maintain and transform existing products, experimenting with new use cases
Required Skills and Background
Direct work on maps, records, and in software applications; handle GIS data entry, editing, and maintenance; produce various GIS products; ensure data accuracy using quality-control processes; assist staff and stakeholders with mapping-related inquiries; develop and implement basic GIS queries and tools; test and implement GIS updates; provide technical support and training for GIS users; collect and verify field data as needed.
Qualifications
Knowledge & Skills:
• Principles of GIS, CAD drafting, and basic graphic design
• GIS software, programming logic, and computer systems
• Relational databases and programming tools
• Land-based information and document control
• Modern computers and software;
GIS input/editing; CAD drafting
Abilities
• Apply programming logic and interpret code
• Communicate technical ideas effectively
• Utilize Google Maps API, and AutoDesk AutoCAD if necessary
Education/Training:
Technical degree, or Associate, Bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography, or a related field, or three years of paid experience in mapping using GIS systems.
Desirable Qualifications:
• GIS experience in a utility or cemetery setting
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• ESRI Technical Certification
Google Maps certification
Drone/RPAS license
Bonus Skills and Background
Cloud computing and AWS GovCloud
AI Expertise: Experience with computer vision, LLMs, fine-tuning, etc.
GIS: Experience with GIS is a plus
API Development: Demonstrated ability in crafting reliable and scalable RESTful services, with a solid grasp of web protocols and architecture.
XR / Spatial Computing Proficiency: Experience in Extended Reality (XR) including Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR), or spatial computing.

This is a Remote position, some travel and training may be required
This role requires overlap with Eastern Time business hours to coordinate with the team.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
